How to Make Granola Crumble Pie

A Most Crumbly Affair: The Tale of Granola Crumble Pie

(My dear readers, it seems the world has been quietly content with graham cracker crusts—a humble yet reliable base for pies of all kinds. While I hold no quarrel with these sweet crackers, I must ask: why settle for ordinary when the extraordinary is within reach?

Allow me to introduce the Granola Crumble Pie! By swapping graham crackers for my renowned Cinna-Maple Crunch granola, you’ll create a crust so remarkable it might just outshine the filling. Expect delighted whispers and wide-eyed admiration from anyone who takes a bite. – U.C.)

The Crust Revolution

Ingredients:

  • 5 tablespoons salted butter, melted (add an extra spoonful if feeling indulgent)

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, optional (for a sweeter touch)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed granola, melted butter, and sugar (if using) until the mixture resembles damp sand and holds together when pressed.

  1. Pour the mixture into a 9-inch pie plate, pressing it into the sides first, then the bottom, until even. A flat measuring cup helps achieve perfect smoothness.

  1. Bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly toasted and aromatic.

  1. Let the crust cool completely before filling. A little patience ensures crumbly perfection.

 Fillings to Match the Majesty

What filling is worthy of such a granolariffic crust? While classics like key lime or cheesecake are fine choices, let’s think bolder! Here are a few ideas from the Crumbles Granolaboratory:

  1. Maple Pumpkin Silk – Spiced pumpkin custard with a swirl of maple syrup.

  1. Berry Medley Masquerade – Fresh berries piled high and glazed with honey.

  1. Yam-azing Delight – Sweet potato filling with cinnamon, nutmeg, whipped cream, and toasted pecans.

  1. Dark Chocolate Cinnamon Dream – Rich chocolate ganache topped with a cinnamon sprinkle.

This granola crust isn’t just a base; it’s a statement, an elevation of pies from the predictable to the extraordinary. Go forth and bake boldly!
