We’ll just come right out and say it: there are other granolas out there.
Uncle Crumbles granola is not the only granola company in the world.
Uncle Crumbles did not invent granola. (Dr. James Caleb Jackson did.)
BUT!
There’s really nothing else like Uncle Crumbles Sugar Cookie granola out there. We checked the entire first page of search results and several local grocers. We called our moms. No one had ever had a sugar cookie granola with such an astounding mix of sweetness, crumble and cookie crunch.
We’re not going to say we invented Sugar Cookie granola. That would be a bit bold, even for us. Surely, someone in their kitchen has combined sugar, cookie, and granola in an oven. But you can’t buy their granola online and have it shipped to your door.
How We Crumbled Sugar Cookie Granola
Our granola innovation team is pretty much constantly baking up something new, 7 days a week. (5 days professionally, and we’re pretty sure they do it for fun on the weekends. If you had a gift like that, you would, too.) We’re talking somewhere between 20–30 brand new recipes, flavors, concepts, combinations, ideas — proto-‘nolas, if you will — every week. It’s a delicate balance of responsibility, but it does manage to keep the lights on.
One day, during a particularly crunchy granola jam, the team was attempting to reinvent different desserts as granolas. It’s a seemingly impossible task. A granola can taste ‘like’ a dessert, but can you truly reinvent a completely different food in granola form? Do we, as humans, have that power?
Yes! It turns out we do! Tapping into our collective childhood memories of birthday parties, holiday desserts, and bake sale fundraisers, the granola innovation team managed to whip up a Sugar Cookie recipe that’s just as indulgent as the real thing.
Indulgent Dessert-Inspired
You could call Uncle Crumbles Sugar Cookie granola “dessert for breakfast,” but that would be missing the point. If anything, it’s breakfast for dessert, and a nutritious one at that, with 16 grams of whole grains, all-natural ingredients, and little bit of all-natural protein and fiber for good measure.
Our top-secret Sugar Cookie recipe is the perfect clustering of whole-grain oats, real vanilla, naturally colored sprinkles. Turns out those little sprinkles are surprisingly hard to get right. Instead of settling for the typical mass-produced kind, we scoured the universe for all-natural sprinkles made with natural sources of color like paprika (red), turmeric (orange/yellow), and plant pigments (purple/pink). How cool is that?
Take a bite out of breakfast, dessert, and your nostalgic childhood at once with Uncle Crumbles Sugar Cookie granola.
